Your Obit membership journey, step by step
Know what to prepare, how identity verification works and what happens after you pay.
Start with your own details
Begin on the Membership page and create your profile with a phone number and email address you can access. Check the spelling of your name, your contact details and your location before moving to the review step. If an existing member referred you, enter their membership code in the sponsor field.
Review and give consent
Read the membership terms and privacy policy before accepting them. The updates option is separate from the required consent. Keep your application reference so the support team can find your application if you need help.
Complete identity verification
Follow the verification instructions shown in your application. Enter your own identity details in the verification form. Do not post your NIN, BVN, password or verification codes in public groups.
Pay through your application
Use the membership payment instructions displayed in your application. After making the transfer, select “I Have Paid” to open the WhatsApp message with your reference. Keep your bank receipt. The payment message helps staff match the transfer to your application. Selecting the button does not itself confirm that the bank credit has arrived.
Keep your membership code
After your payment has been checked and membership approved, keep the membership code assigned to your account. Use your own code when signing in as a seller or referring another applicant. Contact Obit if you need help with a pending application.
