1. Who this notice covers
This notice applies to membership applications, the Member Portal, cooperative programmes and digital services operated for Obit Technologies Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. Obit Technologies Limited provides core technology infrastructure under the parties' documented relationship.
2. Information we process
We may process membership and contact details, application information, consent records, KYC verification status, contribution and transaction records, programme participation, support records, device/security logs and other information reasonably required for lawful cooperative administration.
3. Identity verification
Where identity verification is required, approved KYC providers may process identity information. The platform is designed not to retain raw NIN or BVN values in ordinary application records. Provider access is limited to the verification purpose and applicable legal requirements.
4. Why we process information
Purposes include admitting and serving members, maintaining statutory and digital registers, authenticating users, administering contributions and programmes, preventing fraud, meeting legal obligations, communicating with members and improving service security.
5. Payments and regulated services
Approved licensed providers may process payments, settlement, protected transactions or other regulated functions. Obit Cooperative and Obit Technologies do not claim a regulated licence held by a third-party provider.
6. Security and retention
We use access controls, authentication, audit records, backups and other reasonable safeguards. Records are retained only for legitimate operational, contractual, regulatory, dispute-resolution and statutory purposes.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, members may request access, correction or other lawful action concerning personal data. Requests can be sent to admin@obitcooperative.com.
8. Technology providers
Approved infrastructure, communications, KYC, payment and hosting providers may process limited data for contracted purposes. Technology ownership does not by itself transfer ownership of members' personal data.
