Prepare your first product listing on Obit Market
A practical checklist for cooperative members who want to sell online.
Gather clear product information
Choose a product you can supply and confirm its available quantity. Write down its name, category, condition and current price. Include sizes, colours or other choices that affect the buyer’s order. Give a plain description of what the customer will receive.
Use honest photographs
Take well-lit pictures of the actual item where possible. Include the front, important details and any visible wear. Use only photographs you own or have permission to use. Do not claim a brand relationship or warranty you cannot support.
Open the seller sign-in
Visit Obit Market and select “Sell on Obit”. Enter your cooperative membership code, select Next and enter your password. Selling requires an active cooperative membership. Buyers can browse the marketplace without becoming members.
Submit and keep stock current
Submit the listing from your seller workspace. The Obit team reviews products before they appear publicly. Check your stock and description regularly so customers are not choosing unavailable items. Answer requests with accurate delivery charges and realistic timing.
Follow the order record
Use the order’s payment and delivery instructions. A customer saying they have paid is a request for verification, not proof of bank credit. Follow the Obit order record and staff instructions before handing goods over. Keep the product description, agreed terms and delivery evidence together.
